How to add and activate Charging card (RFID card)?

Once your charging card arrives, you can activate it either in your Plugsurfing app or in the web portal. Here’s how it’s done.

In the app:

Open the VinFast app and log in

Tap on "Account" at the bottom of the screen

Tap on "RFID Cards"

Tap on "+" sign to start add new RFID card.

You will see a blank field for input of your 16-digit key code. You will find this code printed on your charging key.

Tap on “Add and Activate charging card”

Charging Time
How long will it take to charge my vehicle?

With a CCS 250 kW charger, the average charging time is about 31 minutes, from 10% to 70% of battery capacity, depending on the vehicle model.

Fully Charged
How do I know if my car is fully charged?

A notification is displayed on the vehicle Multimedia head unit and in the VinFast app.

What range can I expect from VinFast vehicles under normal driving conditions?

We reached up to 471 km range for VF 8* and up to 594 km for VF 9**, WLTP combined cycle for the extended range versions in Eco trim.

*VF 8 range data are obtained from laboratory tests, in compliance with European regulations, and are intended to compare different types of vehicles. These figures may differ from those obtained in real-life driving situations. Optional equipment, maintenance, driving style and non-technical factors such as weather conditions may influence the official results. The data have been established within the framework of the worldwide harmonized test procedure for passenger cars and light commercial vehicles (WLTP)
** Preliminary values, determined according to the WLTP principles in Combined Cycle. Final values will only be available after homologation of the vehicle is completed

Test Drive
Where can I see and test drive one of your vehicles?

You may currently visit anyone of our location across Germany, Netherlands, and France to see and experience VinFast VF 8. 

Test drive for VF 6, VF 7 and VF 9 are expected to open in these location later, depending on their coming homologation.

Cancellation
How do I cancel my reservation?

To properly process your cancellation request, you will need to visit our contact us page and submit your request online.

Home Delivery Option
Where can I have my vehicle delivered to?

Delivery can take two forms. 

Firstly, the vehicles can be delivered to you at one of the VinFast showrooms selected by you for this purpose. 

VinFast also offers an additional home delivery service. This service may be temporarily unavailable depending on your location. For more information, please contact your Customer advisor.

ADAS
What ADAS are onboard VinFast vehicles?

We include in our VF 8 vehicles, a complete set of ADAS. This includes, but is not limited to, the following:

- Adaptive cruise control

- Assistance in traffic jams

Charging Locations
In which public places will I be able to charge my VinFast vehicle?

Easily charge your VinFast at home or at the office using a standard electrical outlet with your home charging cable, or with a wall connector installed by one of our trusted partners such as Shell Recharge Solutions.

When you're on the go, VinFast partners with leading providers like Plugsurfing GmbH, giving you access to a vast charging network with over 850,000 charge points across Europe. Further information is available here.

VinFast EVs are also equipped with Plug & Charge technology to ensure a seamless charging experience wherever supported.

Cannot activate a Charging card

If you receive an error message while adding your charging card, please double-check the 16-digit UID number printed on the back of the card. Make sure all digits are entered correctly to complete the charging card code.

How to add a payment method for charging?

  • Tap on "Add Credit/Debit Card" (For Charging Service).
  • Agree to “Charging Service Terms of Use”
  • Add Your Card details and click Verify
  • Add Your Billing Address

Warranty
What is the coverage for the 10-year warranty?

The commercial warranty covers repairs to software, hardware or manufacturing defects, and includes replacement or repair of defective parts for a period of 10 years or a maximum mileage of 200,000 km, whichever comes first, according to VINFAST warranty conditions. 

The 12V starter battery is covered by a 3 year unlimited mileage warranty. 

The tyres are guaranteed by the tyre manufacturer and are excluded from the VINFAST Commercial Warranty. 

The Commercial Warranty for the propulsion battery (High Voltage) covers the repairs necessary to restore the capacity of the propulsion battery to a minimum of 70% of the original capacity within the limit of 10 years unlimited mileage, as long as the vehicle is used correctly. In the event of a battery subscription, defects in the propulsion battery are subject to the terms of the Battery Policy. 

The warranty is in addition to and does not limit the customer's statutory rights based on the seller's legal liability for defects.

Smart Services are offered with the optional extended ADAS package. It includes but is not limited to the following list:
