Inaugural VinFast IRONMAN World Championship held in Nice, France, on September 10th, 2023.
- VinFast continues as the Title partner and Exclusive Electric Vehicle Partner for a further two years.
Nice, September 11, 2023 – VinFast (NASDAQ: VFS), Vietnam’s first global electric vehicle (EV) brand, will continue as the Title Partner to the IRONMAN® World Championship for a further two years. The partnership continues to the end of 2025, post the inaugural VinFast IRONMAN® Men’s World Championship held on September 10 in Nice, France.
In addition to the role of Title Partner, VinFast continues to be the Exclusive EV partner for IRONMAN® and IRONMAN® 70.3® series in North America, Europe, and Asia for the next two years.
At the 2023 VinFast IRONMAN® World Championship, Men’s race, co-hosted in Nice, France on Sep 10, the VinFast VF 8 was displayed at the event venue, giving thousands of attendees and athletes their opportunity to get a first-hand look at this all-electric SUV.

For the first time, Nice, France will be the dual host of the IRONMAN® World Championship for men’s professional and age-group athletes. The female professional and age-group athletes will race in Kailua-Kona on 14 October and will rotate each year. The athletes will start from the Mediterranean, alongside the famous Promenade des Anglais to the spectacular Pre-Alps.

VinFast has rung the opening bell to commence trading of its shares and warrant on the Nasdaq Global Select Market, under the ticker symbol “VFS” and “VFSWW”. In July of this year, VinFast broke ground at its electric vehicle manufacturing site in North Carolina. The manufacturing facility is expected to commence production in 2025, with an expected production capacity of 150,000 vehicles per year in the initial phase.
The 2024 VinFast IRONMAN® Men’s World Championship will take place in Kailua-Kona, Hawaii, where the 2023 VinFast IRONMAN® Women’s World Championship is due to take place on October 14. VinFast became the Naming Rights Partner of the IRONMAN® U.S. Series in 2022, and North America from 2023, as well as the Title Partner for the IRONMAN® World Championship since 2022 and the IRONMAN® 70.3® World Championship from 2023.
